Rewarding and Meaningful. Those are the first two words that come to mind when I think back to the early years in my career when I worked as a Human Resources Manager for the American Red Cross. Every day was fulfilling as I was privileged to work alongside wonderful volunteers who shared my enthusiasm for the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross. Years earlier, in 1997, I was certified by the American Red Cross as a volunteer instructor. This was the environment where my passion for training and development was born.

I am a Human Resource Development professional who designs and facilitates learning solutions that are aligned with the needs and strategic direction of the organization. I am recognized by my colleagues for my ability to be conscientious and analytical, allowing me to partner with organizational leaders to offer solutions and learning programs to address skills and performance gaps. My talent in coaching and developing managers is supported by my excellent written and verbal communication skills. My peers describe me as resourceful, innovative and agile.

My expertise stems from 17 years in the Human Resources field delivering learning solutions. Throughout the years, I have been a champion for change, leading efforts for global communication and system training for program, policy and software implementations.  I have been a business partner, working hand-in-hand with managers offering guidance and support in human performance issues.  

I like to create a training environment where participants are fully engaged through the use of multiple learning models. Criteria for success is clearly laid out and learning is personalized. Learning continues after the session is complete by relating course content back to the participant’s current role in the organization.

I achieved 2 Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Speech Communications (BA) and Human Resource Management (BBA). Additionally, I obtained my MBA from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, and have enhanced my expertise in the Human Resources field through certifications from multiple organizations allowing me to facilitate learning with their programs.

Volunteerism has remained a passion of mine and I currently enjoy giving time as a volunteer for the Wisconsin Society for Human Resource Management where I have served on the State Conference Committee, the State Council, and a local chapter board.
