This week we flash back to the E-Learning Heroes Challenge #60 where we show the use of progress meters in courses.
For this challenge, I am showing the use of progress meters for a single activity within a course. The activity asks learners to find the commonly misspelled words. As they select a misspelled word, the progress meter counts down. For the progress meter, I used characters from Storyline holding signs with numbers 1-7. The characters appear one at a time as the course variable tracking correct answers counts down.
Besides programming the variable, the other part of getting this to work was adding in triggers on each of the characters to only appear when the variable’s value was equal to the number they were holding on their sign. Enjoy!
